Facilities and Resources

Navigation Research Laboratory

This laboratory is jointly set up between Department of Land Surveying and Geoinformatics (LSGI) and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA). The Objectives of the laboratory are

  • To engage navigational research activities in both theoretical investigation and technology development.
  • To promote modern navigation technology for ITS
  • To provide service, consultancy and technology transfer to the society
  • To establish a centre for academic exchange, industrial collaboration and educational teaching and training.

Since the establishment of the laboratory, navigation and ITS have become one of key research areas in the department. A number of products developed through different research projects for navigation and ITS applications have been in the stage of commercialization. We are also organizing the international symposium on inertial technology, GPS, and ITS, together with Chinese Association of Inertial Technology and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
