Karena Hui is Project Manager of the Jockey Club Smart City Tree Management Project, responsible for planning, facilitating and communicating on the project matters among various project partners and the Government in connection with the development progress and resources allocation.
Ms Hui has the multi-discipline experience in project management, and particularly she has immersed herself in the field of forestry and arboriculture in recent years. She has worked at one of the city council in Australia to help devise a plan under Urban Forestry Department for Tree Renewal and Planting Project through Geographic Information Systems (GIS) platform. Prior to that, she has worked at the Corporate Communications Department of the public sector for many years to promote new and large-scale infrastructures to the community in Hong Kong.
Ms Hui received her Master of Forest Ecosystem Sciences degree from The University of Melbourne, Master of Marketing from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Bachelor of Sciences (Physics) from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. She is currently a Professional Member of ISA-HK Chapter, a Certified Arborist with Tree Risk Assessment Qualification issued by The International Society of Arboriculture (ISA), and a member of The Institute of Forester of Australia.
