State Natural Science Award

Professor Zhilin Li has been presented with the State Natural Science Award (2004 round) by the Central Government of China. The awarding ceremony was held on 28^th March 2005.

The State Natural Science Award is the highest award for original research in China, administrated by the National Office for Science and Technology Awards (NOSTA), which is the highest scientific awarding body in China.

Professor Li and his collaborators won this award for their original research in dynamic and multi-dimensional modelling and representation of digital ground surface and objects (features) over the last 10 years, as a result of over 10 collaborative projects funded by the RGC of HK, PolyU, and the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
